Things to Remember

EJP named his giant giraffe Tico, after a character on Dora the Explorer. Hearing him recite Brown Bear, Brown Bear last year was one of the cutest things ever. His teddy bear is named Bear Bear and his elephant / blanket is Ella, as in the book Ella the Elegant Elephant. He talks with his hands. I like reading Go Dog Go by PD Eastman with him; we used to read Giggle Giggle Quack all the time, and he'd say "It's for you, Bob."

In the family room of our house in San Jose before EJP was born, SKGP and I used to build cool towers out of those big legos. She used to watch Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs all the time, and one day she sang Someday My Prince Will Come in the van and it was stunningly adorable. Her beloved dollie was named Rosie, but she was lost at Target in east SJ. Her favorite TV show is Dragon Tales on PBS. Sometimes I would fall asleep on the floor by her crib when putting her down on Mondays, when RCP was at choir. Before E was born, we would watch Jeopardy! most nights. SKP started to answer"What is a giraffe?" to many questions. She was right once. She also got some Disney questions right. I would say she was about 2 at the time.

the snappi, the elastic clip to hold cloth diapers on with claws on the ends of its three arms. taking out the bag of diapers, in a big blue bag with holes in it and throwing out the front door.

the first time skgp got out of her crib (when I was home alone with her) -- thump. getting my little ponies at toys r us in sunnyvale.

Completed Book: A Short, Sharp Shock

I just finished reading A Short, Sharp Shock by Kim Stanley Robinson. It wasn't a great book, but it was short. (2/3/06)
